Ninja Food.
To the untrained eye they might be extremely hard gummies. And, well, maybe that's what they are. But that's also what all the modern day ninjas nosh on when they're feeling a little peckish.
And for flavors you get to choose from two.
This one is plum and tuna flavor. I was the only one in the house brave enough to try it. And, yeah, it taste just like plum and tuna, no surprises there. Less like a snack and more like a meal. Willy Wonka eat your heart out.
The second flavor is grape. But not just your average grape. This one is Macho Grape!
I imagine this one tasted mighty fine. Boy Child offered me one after an especially painful dentist visit so I had to decline. When I was healed up and ready to try a little macho grape the pack was empty. *sigh*

Plum and tuna flavored gummies? Now that just sounds gross...high in protein, maybe, but still gross. Would you buy it again?
Oh, I wouldn't buy these again. Julyan is a gummi fiend. But even he was turned off by plum and tuna. He said grape was okay.
Those salary-man gendai ninja figures crack me up, but I'm with Pat: plum and tuna sound gross. And yet, I wonder why? For lunch I did two kinds of onigiri with umeboshi and tunafish inside. So why does the very idea of tuna and plum flavored stuff make me cringe?
That'll keep me up all night...
I always dig odd and weird snacks. I think junk food says more about culture than anything else.
Why do all the ninjas wear glasses? I didn't think they were known for their poor eyesight.
Mary, I think what struck me as strange was that I my mind just assumes a gummi is going to be sweet but when it aint...*shiver*
Gabriel, I didn't realize all three ninja had glasses on. Interesting. I think they are trying to market this as brain food.
GREAT SHAKES! Are you guys OK? I saw that 10 were injured in Kikugawa, and you're much closer to the epicenter.
imomomo
There are some interesting-looking Japanese snacks over at Frank's place just waiting for the time that he, his two sons and I are all together at the same time to sample them. I'm quite looking forward to that. :)
Ha ha, something sweet and something salty, I believe.
